Following our commitment to increasing gender diversity in production music, we’re proud to present our new partnership with the female-led grassroots organisation GIRLSofGRIME.

Founded by music enthusiast Shakira Walters, who is a proud advocate for equitable action to support women in music, GIRLSofGRIME strives for gender balance in the UK music scene.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with GIRLSofGRIME's P.O.W. (Power.Of.Women) production music workshop led by Andrew Stannard, a Senior Producer at Universal Production Music UK. Our goal is to continue supporting and empowering female talent to advance in their careers.

To refine their music production skills and prepare their tracks for sync, the P.O.W Producers were invited to Universal Studios to receive feedback from composers Henry Parsley and Olly Holmes.

After a successful day, GIRLSofGRIME hosted a screening of their upcoming documentary ‘Power.Of.Women in Production’ and showcased the producer’s tracks made on the programme.

As part of the workshop, Perri Wickham, Global Marketing Assistant at Universal Production Music, and Sera Bless produced the International Women’s Day 2024 #InspireInclusion theme song.

A massive thanks to Shakira Walters and Andrew Stannard for leading the project. We look forward to continuing our initiative to support women’s career in music for sync.
