Based in Austin, TX, Adrian is currently best known as a member and producer of Black Pumas, a psychedelic soul band with singer Eric Burton, signed to ATO Records which KCRW called “the breakout band of the year”. He is also a member of Brownout, a Latin funk band and has been a member and co-producer of Glorietta (with David Ramirez, Nathaniel Rateliff, Matthew Logan Vasquez and more), Ocote Soul Sounds, Echocentrics, Spanish Gold and Grupo Fantasma. As a guitarist, he has performed with artists as diverse as Prince, Los Lobos, Daniel Johnston, GZA, Miguel, Kali Uchis, Cuco and more. Quesada owns and operates Electric Deluxe Recorders, a boutique analog recording studio in South Austin and as a producer has worked with Wild Child, Karl Denson (Tiny Universe, Rolling Stones,) Alex Maas of The Black Angels, Third Root, Natalia Clavier, David Garza, The Sword, Daniel Johnston, Toy Selectah, among others.

He is also an in demand music director, twice returning to the Lincoln Center’s Out of Doors series in New York City, once for the Look at My Soul Concert he curated based on an album he produced for Amazon Music Originals and Nacional Records in 2018 which Rolling Stone said “demonstrates the rich history of interplay between Latin artists in Texas and classic strains of rhythm and blues” and once for Selena for Sanctuary in 2018 - a tribute to Selena featuring Mon Laferte, Cuco, Gaby Moreno, Chris Perez, Nina Diaz and more. Selena for Sanctuary was also performed at NYC’s Central Park Summerstage in 2019 with headliners Kali Uchis, Cuco, IV Jay and other rising stars.

Quesada has performed around the world on various stages, from festivals like Bonnaroo, Montreal Jazz Fest, Austin City Limits, Transmusicales - to name a few, and has appeared three times on PBS’ award winning Austin City Limits TV show. He has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and his music has been heard on various major motion pictures and TV shows.
